Then I started pulling weeds. Within a few days I had uncovered three raised beds. This is what it looked like on November 6, 2014.

Within two weeks I had uncovered 13 raised beds in this portion of the gardens. This is what it looked like by November 14, 2014. Keep in mind, all of this was done with only basic hand tools and a pair of gloves, nothing but human energy.

Then I went to live in the city again for the winter months. I returned in the spring and got back to work.

It keeps getting better as we go. Next is April 11, 2015. You can finally see the back fence of the garden!

At this time I can confirm that there are peas, radishes, spearmint and lettuce now growing in the garden with sprouts for beans, pumpkin, sunflowers, kale, peppers, cauliflower, tomato, and more almost ready to go. A few more weeks and hopefully beautiful veggies will grow. If I can keep them safe from my gardening sidekick. Stay tuned!
